Our philosophy of upgrading and maintaining new machinery makes no exception for the support vehicles and associated loading equipment.

The fleet of equipment for ground support, start with the “Iveco Powerstar” Road Train & Terminal Gate rated Prime Mover. This is used for delivery and supply of bulk fuel to our remote bases and firebombing support. Also in addition to the fuel and water tankers a flat deck trailer and bulk grain trailer, which are utilised for the winter season. We have the ability to arrive on farm with the Manitou telescopic loader, then load more than 20 tonnes of fertiliser into the bulk trailer. This ensures a constant supply of product at the airstrip to help avoid costly delays. Also we have the capability to place a sea container with extra equipment on remote airstrips in areas of high workload for short periods without the need for any permanent facilities. Therefore once the work has finished we can simply load the sea container and move it to an other area within hours.

All vehicles are fitted with Satellite telephones, CDMA mobile phones and UHF radios to maintain contact with all staff anywhere in the country.

The 9 tonne Isuzu Tray Truck is also a multi-purpose vehicle used as support for aircraft in the winter spraying season. It can be loaded with the Manitou loader for on farm fertiliser spreading, or fitted with equipment for the loading of chemical for spraying work. It too is fitted with a bulk fuel tank for aircraft refuelling operations.

The Manitou loader is one of the vehicles used to load the aircraft with bulk product for spreading such as Urea. It has the ability to load with the use of an auger or scoop directly from the ground. The arm can then reach out over the aircraft filling the hopper within seconds with the use of a hydraulic gate operated from the Manitou cabin.

The 4x4 Isuzu Truck is a favourite with staff. The four wheel drive is ideal for the aircraft loaders on the sandy strips we often work from and the big tray has plenty of room for our aircraft refuelling system coupled with the water tanks and pumps for loading the aircraft during spraying.

The four wheel drive extra cab ute is the perfect run about or to even have one of our many spray loading trailers hooked up behind as a backup.

The Manitou is one of the methods used for loading aircraft with solid fertilisers , bucket on the front of the extendable arm can be loaded with approximately two tonnes of fert and rapidly loaded into the plane through contols inside the Manitou cabin. Product can be loaded into the Manitou bucket with an auger or scooped up directly from fertiliser on the ground.

A new addition to the fleet of vehicles is the Merlo telescopic loader. The Merlo has an exceptional reach for weight capability specifically purchased for our AT 802 & AT 602 Aircraft. These recent photo's show the Merlo in action.
